“The first step in getting your needs met is identifying what they are. Before you do that, you have to recognize that you have needs. But if you’ve buried your needs for years, never learned to acknowledge them, or have shaped your life on a model of self-sufficiency, you will have to begin with the basic awareness ‘I am a person. I hurt. I feel. I need.’”

Dear Romney & Ryan, and people who think like them.
You are not “pro-life”, you are “pro-pregnancy”.
If you really cared about life, you wouldn’t go to war so easily, you wouldn’t have the death penalty, you would improve the health system, you would improve the education system, you would help the poor and the needy. How about you focus on the needs of the people already alive.
We get it, you like babies and pregnant women, but once that baby is born, you really don’t care.

"Just figure out what you want out of life, then do it" I have no idea what I want, I thought I'd have killed myself by now
I am feeling absolutely terrible right now
I am so alone, I have no one to talk to
Not that anyone would care. I am the depressed person, I’m always upset, there’s nothing they can do for me.
Suicide has been on my mind a lot lately. A lot.
God I hate this.
Feeling suicidal. Not good.
Depression is going to kill me
“What you must understand about me is that I’m a deeply unhappy person.”
—John Green, Looking for Alaska (via mortur)
- Mum: You need to figure out what you want to do with your life! You can't just stay in bed and do nothing all the time.
- Me (what I wanted to say): Mum, I'm currently spending each day trying not kill myself, career plans aren't exactly my priority right now.
- Me (what I actually said): *silence*
